The latest iPhone software update introduced major changes like Liquid Glass and new AI tools, but many of the most helpful improvements are tucked away in your settings.
In other words, you probably haven’t seen nearly everything iOS 26 has to offer. These small upgrades refine your daily experience and make the phone feel more intuitive. They aren’t as flashy as the main features, but they’re the ones you’ll notice during everyday use.
After living with this software for this long, I’ve learned that the out-of-the-box experience is for amateurs. There are tweaks that’ll improve your life, and I’m not talking about your phone’s wallpaper.
Take, for example, “Adaptive Power Mode,” which actually learns your habits to save juice, or finally killing the ancient 9-minute snooze to set an interval that doesn’t ruin your morning. Apple even added a “Dirty Lens” alert so you can stop taking blurry, smudged photos like it’s 2010.
