John Mulaney is returning to Netflix after the success of his short-lived variety show Everybody’s in L.A. to host a brand new live talk show.
Netflix’s Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria announced the news at the Bloomberg Screentime conference, per Deadline.
Bajaria noted the streamer has enjoyed a “long relationship” with Mulaney, which spawned the “bold, original and fresh” variety talk show Mulaney created as part of the Netflix is a Joke festival earlier this year.
“I think it’ll be really fun to get to do a live show,” Bajaria said. “I’m excited about pushing into another area.”
According to Variety, the show is set to premiere in early 2025.
Though there are still few details available about the project, the new series will be produced by Mulaney’s Multiple Camera Productions. Mulaney will also serve as a co-showrunner.
