Amazon is expanding its Prime Video advertising business, bringing ads to five major new markets next year.
Ads on Prime Video will come to India, Brazil, Japan, the Netherlands and New Zealand in 2025. The company announced the expansion at its Amazon UnBoxed conference in Austin, Texas.
Amazon currently includes ads on Prime Video in the U.S., Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, and the U.K. it also gives users in those countries the option to pay a few dollars per month to continue receiving an ad-free experience. That will be the case for the new countries as well.
