Some weeks are bound to be quiet by streaming standards. That’s just the way it plays out sometimes. We could have had the Australian version of The Office this week, but Prime Video has apparently not put it out for release in America — at least not yet. So we’ll just have to settle for new seasons of the great Apple TV+ dramedy Shrinking and Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer. But that’s not a bad pairing of shows at all.
The rest of October’s notable arrivals include Netflix’s Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft and Prime Video’s Citadel: Diana, as well as HBO’s The Franchise. And the great thing about streamers is that there is no offseason, which means more new shows are coming before the end of this month as we head into the final stretch of the year.
