Tempers are beginning to flare as we inch closer to the Tyson/Paul fight. On Thursday’s weigh-in, Tyson struck Paul with an open-handed slap before security separated the two fighters. A source told ESPN that Tyson was reacting to Paul “purposefully” stepping on his foot and that Mike was “fed up with Paul’s trash talk.”
Tyson vs. Paul, which will be contested over eight two-minute rounds, will be the 58-year-old Tyson’s first bout since his November 2020 exhibition with Roy Jones Jr. and his first professional fight in nearly 20 years. The card also features undisputed super lightweight champion Katie Taylor (23-1, 6 KOs) squaring off against unified featherweight champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano (47-2-1, 31 KOs) in a hotly anticipated rematch from their April 2022 fight at Madison Square
