Wicked (aka Wicked: Part One) flies into theaters on Nov. 22. The star-studded film, directed by In the Heights helmer Jon M. Chu, will be followed by Wicked: Part Two in 2025. The 2024 movie’s soundtrack includes songs from the first act of the Broadway musical, including Popular, Defying Gravity, and What Is This Feeling?
In Part One, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo play Glinda and Elphaba, students at Shiz University in the Land of Oz who become unlikely friends. The cast also includes Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Ethan Slater as Boq, Bowen Yang as Pfannee (a pal of Glinda’s), Peter Dinklage as the voice of Dr. Dillamond, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible and Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard of Oz.
