Seeing “Speak No Evil” in theaters back in September remains one of my favorite cinema experiences of the year, and that’s primarily because James McAvoy is absolutely unhinged in the lead role, in the best possible way. This psychological thriller is among the year’s most pleasant surprises, and it’s a great showcase of the Scot’s highly committed approach to acting.
