Millie Bobby Brown is following up her lackluster Netflix fantasy Damsel with yet another questionable Netflix feature film in the upcoming sci-fi, The Electric State.
Directed by the Russo brothers and reportedly costing Netflix a whopping $320 million (not a typo), The Electric State is a family friendly adventure set in the ’90s after a failed robot rebellion resulted in the banishment of all of the sentient robots to a secured territory called the Electric State.
Brown stars as Michelle, an orphaned teenager who embarks on a journey across the robot wasteland with the help of a former soldier (Chris Pratt) and his robot sidekick Herman, in search of her missing brother.
As they travel west to the Exclusion Zone where they meet new robot allies who can possibly help her find her genius younger brother, Michelle realizes there may be more to the robot rebellion than she realizes.
