Max Streaming Password Crackdown: $8 Extra Member Fee Rollout Begins

Warner Bros. Discovery announced on Tuesday that it has launched an extra member fee in the US for its Max streaming service. Subscribers who choose to share their streaming account can pay $8 a month, but they can only add one person. The extra user can be added to any price plan you’re subscribed to — with or without ads — but the feature excludes subscribers who get Max with a bundle

Like Netflix and Disney Plus, the extra member fee is optional. It allows the main account holder to pay the fee and invite someone to create an account under their subscription.
