The current year will be one of major change for Hulu. The standalone Hulu app will be shut down in 2026, and its content moved to the Disney+ app. Hulu will continue to exist as a standalone subscription option, as will its live TV streaming counterpart Hulu + Live TV.
It’s not totally clear where Hulu + Live TV will live once the Hulu app is sunset. It could be moved to the Disney+ app as well, or it could be housed in the Fubo app, since the two streamers completed a merger in late 2025. Either way, Hulu + Live TV should borrow a feature from Disney+ as it settles into its new home: the continuous playlists called Streams that launched on the Disney+ app in 2024.
