Android games are about to get a built-in gaming buddy. Google has begun rolling out Play Games Sidekick, an in-game overlay designed to help you while playing Android titles downloaded from the Play Store.
The feature was first introduced last year as an AI guide for Android games. Instead of pausing the game and searching for guides on the web or walkthrough videos on YouTube, you can now ask your Sidekick for help directly on your screen.

GooglePlay Games Sidekick is powered by Gemini Live, Google’s conversational AI model. When you open the Sidekick overlay during gameplay, it can surface useful information related to the game you are playing.
