Is the ‘Slanted’ Horror Movie Streaming on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video?

Even if you don’t have a pass for South by Southwest, you don’t have to wait long to watch the new indie horror movie Slanted, which opens in U.S. movie theaters this weekend, one week after its SXSW premiere.

Written and directed by Amy Wang, Slanted is a body horror-comedy that stars Shirley Chen as a Chinese-American teenager who undergoes an “ethnic modification” surgery in an attempt to fit in at her majority-white high school. In other words, she makes herself a white chick. But it’s not nearly as fun as the Wayans brothers made it look back in 2004.

Also starring Mckenna Grace, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, and Amelie Zilber in supporting roles, Slanted premiered at South by Southwest Film Festival last week, where it was met with mostly positive reviews from critics.
