You have to wonder if Taylor Sheridan, who’s the creator of hit shows like Yellowstone and Landman, ever takes a break. The Madison is his newest project. You can easily describe the series as another modern-day western family drama, but aside from its Montana setting, it has no connection to Yellowstone.
The program — which is being marketed as Sheridan’s most personal work yet — follows the Clyburn family as a tragedy upends their life of privilege in Manhattan and sends them to the rural countryside of Montana. You won’t find political backstabbing or land ownership disputes here. That said, get your tissues ready. This one’s an emotional ride.
Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell star in the series alongside Elle Chapman, Beau Garrett, Patrick J. Adams, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack and Matthew Fox. The Madison has also been renewed for a second season.
