Sheryl Underwood Credits Joy Behar’s “Comedy Corner” On ‘The View’ For Landing ‘The Talk’: “I Believe They Saw Me On This Show”

It turns out that Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Sherri Shepherd, and The View may have played a pivotal role in Sheryl Underwood‘s career trajectory.

On the subject of Oscar nominees Teyana Taylor, Jessie Buckley, and Emma Stone getting their “start” in reality TV, the co-hosts began to reflect on their own careers and how they landed where they are now.

Underwood, who has been a guest co-host on The View all week and who was a host on The Talk for 14 of its 15 seasons, revealed that she was on the game show Make Me Laugh in 1998. After a clip of her appearance was shown, Underwood credited Behar for landing her role on the CBS talk show.

“But really, I believe coming here, Joy, and doing your Comedy Corner,” she shared, referring to Behar’s segment on the ABC daytime talk show.
