Cinephiles definitely don’t want to miss out on the new Paul Thomas Anderson movie, One Battle After Another, opening in movie theaters this weekend. Based on the rave reviews from critics, this one is shaping up to be an Oscar front-runner.
Written and directed by Anderson, One Battle After Another is based on the 1990 novel Vineland by Thomas Pynchon. Leonardo DiCaprio stars in the film as Bob Ferguson, a former revolutionary who’s forced back in the game when his baby daughter is in danger. He has a little help from his revolutionary friends, thankfully. The One Battle After Another cast also includes Teyana Taylor, Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, Regina Hall, Chase Infiniti, and Alana Haim.
