
The worlds of Aliens and Star Wars collided at the Oscars on Sunday night.
Sigourney Weaver, who starred in 1986’s Aliens, and Pedro Pascal, who stars in the upcoming film The Mandalorian & Grogu, appeared onstage to present the award for best production design at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. (Weaver also appears in the Star Wars movie, which hits theaters May 22.)
“Production designers possess a special kind of movie magic that happens long before the cameras roll,” Weaver began. “It begins with a sketch, a texture, a doorway, and suddenly, an entire world exists.”
