Netflix Sets Latest True-Crime Doc ‘The Crash’ About Killer Teen Driver

EXCLUSIVE: In 2022, Mackenzie Shirilla, a 17-year-old intentionally crashed her car into a brick wall in Ohio, killing her boyfriend and his friend.

Shirilla was arrested and charged with the murder of Dominic Russo and Davion Flanagan and was convicted of 12 felony charges and sentenced to life in prison. A judge called her “hell on wheels”.

The case is to be turned into Netflix’s latest true-crime documentary.

The Crash, which launches on May 15, comes from All3Media-owned production company Raw.

Raw is already heavily in business with Netflix; the company has produced series including Don’t F**k With Cats and the streamer’s Trainwreck franchise, which featured the Poop Cruise documentary, that has been renewed for a second season.
