Amazon Sets Premiere For ‘American Gladiators’ Reboot

Amazon is opening the Atlasphere. The streamer has revealed the premiere date for its reboot of American Gladiators.

The physical competition series, which is hosted by WWE and Real World alum Mike “The Miz” Mizanin, will launch on April 17.

The streamer will premiere with its first three episodes with three more episodes streaming on April 24 and the final four episodes launching on May 1.

It comes nearly two years after Amazon ordered the reboot of the iconic format, which is considered one of the first reality shows.

American Gladiators originally launched in syndication and aired weekly between 1989 and 1996. The series was created by Johnny C. Ferraro after he and Dan Carr came up with the original concept for the competition event.
