Bachelor Nation is no stranger to drama but the last twelve months have not been kind to the long-running ABC franchise.
A year on from allegations of a toxic workplace and the departure of the franchise’s top two showrunners, Taylor Frankie Paul has dragged Disney back into a reality quagmire with domestic assault allegations, a horrific video of an aggressive incident where a child is present and the ruination of the latest season of The Bachelorette, which is due to premiere on Sunday.
Deadline understands that ABC is currently figuring out what to do ahead of the season opener. It’s unlikely that the entire season is scrapped but it raises questions about the future of The Bachelor and its multiple spinoffs and the impact that would have on the network and Warner Horizon, which produces the show. ABC declined to comment.
