Jio Studios & B62 Studios’ Aditya Dhar directed action movie Dhurandhar: The Revenge scored the second biggest global opening ever for an Indian title with $81M (₹761 Crores) in its first five days of release.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge‘s opening in regards to reported historical figures (not adjusted for inflation), ranks behind that of 2024’s Pushpa 2 – The Rule which minted $97.9M. Note Pushpa 2 was a Tollywood title (Telegu language) while Dhurandhar: The Revenge is Bollywood (Hindi language).
But, in terms of Hindi-language titles, Dhurandhar: The Revenge‘s global start is definitely a record ahead of 2023’s action thriller Jawan ($63M WW).
