Evan McGill is behind the TV format, in which musical theater performers compete for a career-launching prize of a lead role in a full-produced musical.
McGill is developing and producing the international format alongside Diamond Moving Pictures, the production and distribution business that Bill Diamond, Sheri Rosenberg Kelton, and Randy Mendelsohn co-founded last year. The plan is to initially roll out across the U.S., UK, Philippines and Korea.
McGill’s credits include Sunset Blvd., Evita and Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York), which is currently running on Broadway at the Longacre Theatre. He’s also produced Broadway cast albums, including The Music Man: The 2022 Broadway Cast Recording, and is a general partner in Tanninger Fund II, an SEC-registered investment vehicle that aims to support theatrical ventures worldwide.
