EXCLUSIVE: Spain’s Movistar Plus+ is the latest to buy Jack Thorne’s buzzy drama Lord of the Flies, as part of a six-title deal with Sony Pictures Television.
Also included in the agreement are psychological thriller American Hostage, dark comedy Up to No Good, British crime drama The Lady, period piece The Other Bennet Sister and relationship crisis series The Miniature Wife.
Lord of the Flies, the BBC and Stan has been selling internationally, with the likes of Netflix in the U.S., CBC in Canada and HBO Max in parts of Europe. The show, based on William Golding’s novel of the same name, and tells the story of a group of young boys who find themselves stranded on a tropical island and attempt to remain civil by organizing themselves.
