EXCLUSIVE: Verve has signed Omari Hardwick, the actor known for anchoring Starz’s Power franchise, as he steps into a new chapter spanning two major series and an expanding producing slate for his company Bravelife Productions.
Hardwick follows his agent Ryan Muckenthaler, who came over to Verve after 12 years at UTA earlier this month, as we first reported.
In television, Hardwick recently wrapped Season 1 of The Greatest, a Prime Video drama executive produced by Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society and showrun by Ben Watkins which chronicles the early life of Cassius Clay, who would become the famed boxer Muhammad Ali. Hardwick plays Clay’s father, Cassius Clay Sr.
On the feature side, he most recently wrapped Empire City, a hostage crisis action-thriller where he stars as the antagonist opposite Gerard Butler.
