EXCLUSIVE: Gemma Chua-Tran (Heartbreak High) has joined the cast of the Netflix film Gundam from Legendary, sources close to production tell Deadline.
Details regarding who Chua-Tran will play and the plot of the film are under wraps.
In addition to Tran, the cast also includes Sydney Sweeney, Noah Centineo, Michael Mando and Shioli Kutsuna.
Co-developed by Legendary and franchise owner Bandai Namco Filmworks, Gundam will be the first live-action. Sweet Tooth showrunner Jim Mickle is directing from his own script and producing alongside his partner Linda Moran through their prodco Nightshade, along with Centineo and his partner Enzo Marc. Deadline was the first to report Netflix had acquired the film in January.
