
Alex Duong, an actor and comedian known for his work on “Blue Bloods,” died Saturday after a battle with cancer, according to an update on a GoFundMe page started last year to support Duong and his family during treatment.
He was 42.
“With the heaviest hearts, we share that our dear Alex passed away peacefully this morning, surrounded by love and dear friends. He was comfortable and thankfully out of pain,” Hilarie Steele, the woman who started the GoFundMe, said in an update.
According to Steele’s post, Duong’s wife, Christina, and daughter, Everest, “were able to see him last night, and he was alert enough to say goodbye to his little girl, whom he has treasured every moment since the day she was born.”
Steele said the family is “devastated, but so grateful for the support, prayers, and generosity you have all shown during this unimaginable time.”
