Stream It Or Skip It: ‘28 Years Later: The Bone Temple’ on Netflix, a Rousing Variation on Zombie Tropes Anchored by a Game, Inspired Ralph Fiennes

More Ralph Fiennes, more Iron Maiden, more brain-eating – 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple (now streaming on Netflix, in addition to VOD platforms like Amazon Prime Video) just ran away with my heart. The middle chapter of a trilogy continuing the 28 Days Later franchise, the film picks up right where 2025’s excellent 28 Years Later left off, albeit with Nia DaCosta directing an Alex Garland script instead of Danny Boyle (who’ll be back for the next one). The previous outing was more visually inventive and narratively sprawling, but this one’s significantly more streamlined and disgusting – and in many ways, just as inspired.
