Sling TV is continuing to expand its lineup of lower-cost cable channel packages. Early Thursday, the company announced the launch of a new plan called Sling TV Essentials, which offers 10+ popular cable channels for just $20 per month. The package gives subscribers a new way to access top channels, including ESPN, for less.
Key Details: To market, to market: Sling TV has launched a new channel package called Essentials for $20 per month. Sports and more: The package contains ESPN and ESPN2, as well as channels from Hallmark and Lifetime. Teammates: In 2025, Sling launched a similar package called TV Select.

Sling’s Essential channel package includes 12 channels, including ESPN and ESPN2 for sports fans. The package features popular cable channels from a cross-section of categories, including sports, kids and families, movies and drama, and classic and nostalgia programming.
