What The Hell Is Going On With Jonah Hill In His New Keanu Reeves Comedy ‘Outcome’?

Does Keanu Reeves have a soft spot for nearly-canceled comedians? He filmed the new movie Outcome, directed by Jonah Hill, nearly back-to-back with last year’s Good Fortune, directed by Aziz Ansari. Neither Hill nor Ansari were formally accused of a crime, and they’ve both worked steadily over the years. But prior to making their latest respective films, they both faced accusations of bad acting – not the movie kind, but in real life, as sexual aggressors or, in Hill’s case, emotional manipulators. Now they’ve both directed movies that pointedly address questions of goodness, happiness, and fragile interpersonal relationships.

I don’t mean to place Hill’s personal life front and center when discussing Outcome, but the movie’s premise makes it hard to avoid, even as its lead character doesn’t much resemble a motormouthed, improv-friendly comic actor.
