Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse from Sony Pictures Animation swung into CinemaCon on Monday with a first-look scene and a big reaction from the room.
The third in the Oscar-winning trilogy is set for release June 18, 2027, with Miles Morales (voiced by Shameik Moore) returning after a cliffhanger last chapter. At end of 2023’s Across the Spider-Verse, Miles discovered that a parallel version of himself had transformed into the villainous Prowler in an iteration of Earth that lacks a Spider-Man and features a lawless New York City.
Now, hunted by Miguel O’Hara’s Spider Society and betrayed by his friends, Miles finds himself in the darkest corners of the Spider-Verse in search of a way home. He is tied up, threatened, confused and angry.
