The science fiction genre returned to the spotlight on Netflix with War Machine, a feature film from Australian director Patrick Hughes. You might recognize Hughes from his action-packed credits, such as The Expendables 3 and The Hitman’s Bodyguard and its sequel. The film stars Alan Ritchson, well-known to US audiences for his lead in Amazon’s Reacher series. Ritchson has also suited up as Aquaman in Smallville, and played Hawk across CW’s Titans, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow.
