Beyond the Gates isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. The latest CBS sudser has been renewed for two more seasons, the network revealed Wednesday.
That’ll take the soap opera through the 2027-28 season, which is a great sign of confidence from the network as Beyond the Gates continues to air its second season.
“Beyond The Gates immediately improved the time period, has enthusiastically been embraced by the daytime community and is getting good critical acclaim in the press,” CBS Entertainment boss Amy Reisenbach told reporters during a press briefing on Wednesday.
CBS did not provide any updates viewership stats on Beyond the Gates, but the series did come out swinging. The premiere episode of the daytime drama, which is the first to premiere since Passions in 1999, grew to 2.28M viewers in L+3 last year, up 78 percent from The Talk the year prior.
