Sydney Sweeney Thriller ‘The Caretaker’ Lands David Bruckner as Director (Exclusive)

Universal Pictures is capitalizing on the heat from Sydney Sweeney and the success of The Housemaid by stepping on the gas on its own Sweeney thriller, The Caretaker.

Indie horror darling David Bruckner has been tapped to direct the feature project that adapts the upcoming book by Marcus Kliewer and that was initially set up as short story in 2022.

Sweeney is producing Caretaker through her Fifty-Fifty Films as are Michael Bay and Brad Fuller via their Platinum Dunes label’s first-look deal with the studio. Scott Glassgold will produce through 12:01 Films.
