The time for talk is over. Later tonight, Randy Orton will challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship in a battle between two future Hall of Famers. Both wrestlers are no strangers to main eventing the “Showcase of the Immortals.”
Orton memorably closed out 2014’s WrestleMania XXX, losing the World Heavyweight Championship to Daniel Bryan in a triple threat match that also featured Royle Rumble-winner Batista. “The Viper” also main-evented 2009’s WrestleMania XXV, falling to Triple H in the WWE Championship match.
The “American Nightmare” has been a fixture in the WrestleMania main event scene since his return, battling legends like John Cena, Roman Reigns, and The Rock (in a tag bout) over the last three years.
