Mark Consuelos Admits That He Would Have Rather Been “Naked” Onstage Than Adopt A French Accent on Broadway: “We Would Not Object To That”

Before Mark Consuelos said “oui oui” to his Broadway debut, his “biggest fear” was nailing a French accent for his role.

After a successful opening night in Fallen Angels on Broadway on Sunday (April 19), Kelly Ripa made sure to shout out her Broadway boo on Live with Kelly and Mark the next morning.

“Let’s give it up for the Broadway star, Mark Consuelos!” she exclaimed to open up Monday’s episode.

After Consuelos highlighted “the energy backstage,” he acknowledged the “relief” he and his co-stars experienced after last night’s show. Ripa cited the “raves” that the production has already landed, including becoming a New York Times Critic’s Pick, and positive reviews in The Wall Street Journal, and The Guardian.
