Even though Sullivan’s Crossing wasn’t all about Scott Patterson’s character Sully, his departure at the end of Season 3, which he cited was mostly due to creative differences over the direction of Sully’s character, still hurts a bit. Yes, Patterson’s grumpy presence as Sully made the part of our brains that loved Gilmore Girls think that Luke Danes changed his name and moved to Nova Scotia. But what we mostly liked was that Sully and Maggie started to reconnect and get close as father and daughter, which was a main throughline of the first three seasons. What will the show do without that storyline?
