Jason Ritter was nearly caught tripping on Live with Kelly and Mark on Tuesday.
After Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos introduced the Matlock star, Ritter took some time to greet members of the studio audience as he walked out to Benson Boone‘s “Mr. Electric Blue.”
In the midst of giving a series of high-fives to fans, the actor stumbled over what Ripa ultimately revealed to be Live EP Michael Gelman‘s chair.
Fortunately, Ritter caught himself before falling, and saved the moment by making light of his stumble.
“That was a trap!” he exclaimed, as he walked toward the co-hosts.
After Ritter received hugs from both Ripa and Consuelos, Ripa assured Ritter that the moment was “just adorable.”
“That was so great, the way you welcomed everyone and tripped over Gelman’s chair,” she quipped.
