Peacock gains subscribers, but losses widen in Q1

You can’t say that Comcast got a gold medal for its first quarter 2026 earnings report, but it wasn’t a complete loss. The company’s streaming service Peacock had an eventful quarter, hosting the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, as well as Super Bowl LX, attracting tons of eyeballs to the still-growing platform. The report shows that the streamer gained subscribers as a result of these major sporting events, but those additional customers did not translate into a profitable first three months of the year.
