EXCLUSIVE: Franka Potente (Run Lola Run) and Tracy Letts (A House of Dynamite) have signed on for roles alongside Vanessa Kirby, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Tom Pelphrey in Apple‘s sci-fi action-thriller Liminal.
Directed by Louis Leterrier, Liminal is based on the AWA graphic novel Telepaths by Eisner Award winner J. Michael Straczynski, Steve Epting and Brian Reber, which takes place in a world where a tenth of the population suddenly gains telepathic powers as a result of an electromagnetic disturbance.
Character details for the new hires are under wraps. An official logline for the feature take hasn’t yet been issued.
Hailing from Apple Studios, Liminal is written by Justin Rhodes (Terminator: Dark Fate). Zach Studin is producing for AWA Studios, alongside Kevin Walsh for The Walsh Company via his overall deal with Apple Studios. Ray Angelic exec produces alongside Straczynski, Epting and Reber, with Patrick McNamara
