Phone-Maker Nothing Revives Android-to-Computer File Sharing Tool

Earlier this month, the British consumer electronics company Nothing announced a file-sharing tool called Warp. The tool was marketed as allowing you to share files, text, images and more from your Android phone to your computer with a new app and browser extension. 

However, within hours of its announcement, Nothing pulled the app from the Google Play Store. The announcement blog article began showing a “this page doesn’t exist” error. About a week later, Warp returned, but not on the Google Play Store. The announcement blog also returned, with a small note about the situation:

“Nothing Warp was temporarily withdrawn to fine-tune the product following its initial release. The app is built on Google’s infrastructure and handles no user data. There are no security or privacy concerns. Warp is available in Beta for the community. If you would like to try it, feel free to download the APK and share your feedback right here
