Broadway Music Director Mary-Mitchell Campbell to Receive Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award (Exclusive)

Broadway music director and philanthropist Mary-Mitchell Campbell will receive the 2026 Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award for her advocacy work through the arts. 

Campbell, a Grammy and Drama Desk Award-winning music director, conductor, orchestrator, composer and arranger, has led the music department for more than a dozen Broadway shows including Death Becomes Her, Once Upon A Mattress and Some Like it Hot. As of 2022, Campbell also took on the role of music director for the ENCORES! series at New York City Center. 

Her advocacy work includes working as a founding member of Musicians United for Social Equity and on the advisory board of MAESTRA, which advocates for the hiring of women and other underrepresented musicians. She has music directed as well as supervised numerous events for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the Serious Fun Children’s Network and Kristin Chenoweth’s Broadway Bootcamp.
