Gemini has just added a new feature that could boost your efficiency when tackling some of those mundane tasks you need to get done. Announced on Wednesday, Google’s AI tool can now generate files directly in the chat just by prompting it.
Depending on the task at hand, Gemini could previously generate a document in the chat that you’d need to copy and paste into the software of your choosing. This also meant that you might have to spend some time reformatting it to your liking.
Now, all you have to do is ask Gemini to generate the file type you want, like “generate a PDF file,” and it will get to work.
To test this, I asked Gemini to generate a quick grocery list for easy meals. It did so easily enough, but I then asked to have the list saved as a PDF. After a few seconds,
