EXCLUSIVE: British videogame Atomfall is coming to TV, courtesy of Rebellion and Two Brothers Pictures, the producer of The Assassin and Fleabag.
The game hails from indie studio Rebellion, which has teamed up with the Two Brothers label for the TV adaptation. A series is now being worked up. The game is a critical and commercial success. It won Best British Game at this month’s BAFTA Game Awards, while over 3.7M players have explored the world of Atomfall since it launched last year.
A very UK take on the post‑apocalyptic genre, Atomfall leans heavily into classic British sci‑fi and also draws on folk horror. It is set within a walled and militarized Quarantine Zone in England’s Lake District established after a nuclear incident. The outside world is assumed to be continuing as normal.
