The new Jason Statham movie, A Working Man, is coming to digital tomorrow, which means you’ll soon be able to watch Statham beat the crap out of human traffickers from the comfort of your couch. Now that’s what I call entertainment.
Directed by David Ayer, with a screenplay written by Ayer and Sylvester Stallone (who also produced the film via his Balboa Productions company), A Working Man is based on the 2014 novel, Levon’s Trade, by Marvel Comics writer Chuck Dixon. The film stars Statham as Levon, a construction worker whose modest life is upended when his boss (Michael Peña) needs his help rescuing his teenage daughter (Arianna Rivas) from human traffickers. Apparently, Levon has a particular set of skills from a past life that will be useful in this situation. Also starring David Harbour, Jason Flemyng, and Noemi Gonzalez, A Working Man sounds an awful lot like Taken, but with Jason Statham instead of Liam
