‘Adolescence’ Leads Netflix TV Charts In Debut Week; ‘Back In Action’ Secures Spot On Most Popular Film List

Netflix‘s ambitious one-shot series Adolescence made some noise on the platform in its debut week, racking up 24.3M views in just a few days.

That put it at No. 1 on the English TV list and, per Netflix, the show was the most-streamed series of the week in 71 countries.

Adolescence in second among all titles on Netflix for March 10 to 16, because Joe and Anthony Russo’s The Electric State eked out the win with 25.2M views. Millie Bobby Brown has been on a hot streak lately with Netflix, marking her third No. 1 film debut on the streamer after Enola Holmes 2 and Damsel.

However, it would have been expected that The Electric State (which is one of the most expensive films ever made with a budget of $320M) would significantly outperform a modest British miniseries with no stars.
