AirPods Max 2 arrive with H2 chip, better noise cancellation, and smarter audio features

Apple’s launch streak continues. After a series of product announcements across its iPhone, Mac, and iPad lineups, the company has now turned its attention to audio with the launch of the second-generation AirPods Max 2.

What’s new with the AirPods Max 2?

The new headphones build on the original AirPods Max introduced in 2020, bringing updated internals and several new software features in a familiar design. At the center of the upgrade is the Apple H2 chip, the same chip that powers the latest AirPods Pro model. Apple says the new chip enables improvements in computational audio, delivering better sound processing and more advanced noise control.

According to Apple, the AirPods Max 2 feature improved Active Noise Cancellation that can block more background noise compared to the previous model. Transparency mode has also been refined to sound more natural when letting outside audio
