Weapons fans, rejoice, as Amy Madigan has confirmed that a prequel centered around Aunt Gladys is in the works.
Moments after stepping off stage at the 98th Academy Awards on Sunday, Madigan — who took home the hardware for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 2025 horror flick written and directed by Zach Cregger — joined journalists backstage and shared that
“I’ve been asked that quite a number of times, Zach Cregger, who’s our writer-director, kind of says, ‘Yes, this is going to happen,” Madigan said on Sunday. “But, we know how long stuff takes, we know what this business is like and nothing is real until it is with timing and all those things. But if it worked out, that’d be great because I trust Zach and he’s got a lot of whack ideas in his head.”
