Barbra Streisand will receive an honorary Palme d’Or at the 78th Cannes Film Festival in May.
The Oscar-winning music artist and actress follows in the wake of past honorees Agnès Varda, Marco Bellocchio, Jodie Foster, Meryl Streep, Robert De Niro and Tom Cruise.
She will receive the honorary palm during the awards ceremony on May 23. As previously announced by the festival last week, Peter Jackson will also receive an honorary palm this year on the opening night of the festival.
The 78th edition of the festival runs from May 12 to May 23, 2026.
