The cost of a YouTube TV subscription is about to get a bit pricier. In an email sent out to customers Thursday, the streamer – owned by Google’s parent company, Alphabet – announced that starting January 13, 2025, it will be increasing its monthly subscription price by $10, from $72.99 to $82.99. According to the company, the price hike is needed to “keep up with the rising cost of content and the investment we make in the quality of our service.”
“We don’t make these decisions lightly, and we realize this has an impact on our member,” the email read. “We are committed to bringing you features that are changing the way we watch live TV, like unlimited DVR storage and multiview*, and supporting YouTube TV’s breadth of content and vast on-demand library of movies and shows.”
