Canneseries, the French TV festival, is moving its dates to February, putting it ahead of the rival event Series Mania in the calendar.
The festival will host its tenth edition from February 11-16, 2027. The ninth is drawing to a close this week after six days of screenings and talks with the likes of Richard Gadd, David Bernad and Noah Hawley.
“This move in February is the result of careful consideration: we want to offer a more relaxed, more intense and completely independent experience to mark our tenth anniversary,” said Laetitia Recayte, who is replacing retiring festival chief Benoit Louvet.
The plan is for a trial run in 2027, with the winter slot considered for a permanent fixture in February should it be successful.
