Canneseries has unveiled a buzzy lineup for 2026 with Richard Gadd’s new show Half Man, Hugo Blick’s California Avenue and Apple TV’s Star City all premiering out of competition.
Severance star Adam Scott is meanwhile being awarded the Canal+ Icon Award, while Baby Reindeer creator Gadd gets a commitment award.
In competition, Disney+’s Alice and Steve will come up against the likes of Media Res show Summer of 1985.
The splashy out of competition entries include Half Man, the show about two friends down the decades created by and starring Gadd alongside Jamie Bell. California Avenue is Blick’s new series about a family of outcasts and For All Mankind spin-off Star City is about the Soviet space programme, with Rhys Ifans, Anna Maxwell Martin and Agnes O’Casey starring.
